Don’t see Max Payne

It was awful.  Don’t see it.  It was basically a video game, but I didnt even get to play.  Shooting, cut scene, shooting, cut scene, shooting, cut scene, boss level, end credits.

AWFUL.  I think they left out some of the more important plot cut scenes.

Finally Tivo… but there is nothing to watch

So I finally got a TiVo, and I’m really excited about it, except wait… oh yeah, there is NOTHING TO WATCH.  Thanks to the writers’ strike none of my favorite shows are on anymore.  I don’t even know what to set tivo to record.  Any idea? I’m looking for some TV inspiration here.

PS – Tivo is TOTALLY today’s timewaster.

TMNT the movie

Saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the movie) recently and I’m giving it a C+.  Not very impressive, starts off really slow and doesn’t get interesting until halfway through.  The 3d-animation isn’t too impressive either.  The second half of the movie is fun to watch though.

Jason Schwartzman

Saw Jason Schwartzman at Coffee Bean today.  He was in shopgirl if you remember.  I never realized how short he was before…

Talladega and Dupree

I saw Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and You, Me, and Dupree this weekend.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby was funnier than I expected, but purely a movie for laughs. B+
You, Me, and Dupree was cute and funny, I really enjoyed seeing it. B+

Pulse Premiere

I accidentally ended up at the Pulse Movie Premiere on thursday night at the Arclight Theatre in Hollywood. I was about 2 feet from the red carpet and got to watch all the stars wander past and get interviewed. Off the top of my head I remember seeing Kristen Bell, Ian Somerhalder, and Christina Milian. There were some other stars from the movie there as well but I cannot recall their names, sorry. Most of them were very friendly, they stopped off and signed aurographs for the fans that were waiting at the end of the red carpet, Kristen and Christina though did not. Oh well, better luck next time celeb autograph seekers. I didn’t really pay attention to who was there from the media but I did notice some Entertainment Tonight gear sitting around… Guess you can catch the dirt on the premiere from them.

Here is an article from the LA Times about it if anyone is interested.

Interpreter review.

Saw The Interpreter yesterday.

Giving it a B-, too long, too many confusing names, ended too many times….no real point.
