I may stray away from the political topics because its just not something I want to focus on here, but the other topics sound good. I read somewhere that digital cameras could technically have GPS in them for the purpose of embedding a geo-coordinate tag inside an image file to let the viewer know where the image was taken. A web service could easily translate the geo-coord tag inside an image to map the picture to location in the world Other cool things would be to talk about new scientific discoveries in the realm of bioscience.
