Not very well researched. Recommend verifying all factoids before posting.

E.g., five minutes with grep and a dictionary file reveals:

longer than ‘typewriter’: proprietory, proterotype, rupturewort

vowels: abstentious, acheilous, acheirous, acliesous, affectious, annelidous, arsenious, bacterious, caesious, fracedinous, majestous (with many, many more if you allow extra vowels, which the “five vowels in order” restriction allows)

-dous: 125 in my dictionary, from acanthocladous to velellidous. If you restrict it to -ndous words, that drops it to 11 - cogitabundous, froundous, infandous, mirandous, nefandous, pudendous, repandous plus the three mentioned

And a jiffy can indicate any of several units of time. Recommend spending five minutes with Google and Wikipedia on at least ’scissors inventor’ and ‘jiffy’]

silver : purple | chilver : hirple

A debunking of most of this unimpressive list:

Hey,

Thanks for going through and researching that. I hadn’t taken the time to look through it and verify it, but I appreciate that you did.

Thanks again, have a good one.
