I recently picked a new primary care physician. After two visits and exhaustive lab test, he said I was doing “fairly well” for my age. A little concerned about that comment, I couldn’t resist asking him, “Do you think I’ll live to be 80?”
He asked, “well, do you smoke tobacco or drink beer or wine?”
“Oh no”, I replied. “I’ve never done either.”
Then he asked, “Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?”
I said, “No, I heard that all red meat is very unhealthy.”
“Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf / sailing /ballooning / motorcycling / rock climbing?”
“No I don’t”, I said.
He said, “Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or sexually fool around?”
“No”, I said. “I have never done any of those things.”
He looked at me and said, “Then why do you give a shit if you live to be
80?”

“I went to the museum where they had all the heads and arms from the statues that are in all the other museums.”

after being stuck in bed, sick, for a few days you just NEED to get out. You don’t care if its even to just go sit somewhere else, you just want to go. So last night thats what i did, I went.

Well really its more like “We didn’t start the fire, Well we didn’t light it, But we tried to fight it.”

Haha, really we fought it. Ok so heres the deal my mom was warming up some costco garlic bread in the toaster oven and i was making tea and soon we both say “why does it smell like smoke?”. Mom walks over to the toaster oven “monica, theres a fire burning in my toaster oven, what do it do?” Good Question Mom. We put it out, yes we fought it, but we didnt start it, the oils of the butter etc from the bread did… It was the adventure of my day!
